ILA RECOGNIZED WITH ASSOCIATION AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
The Illinois Limousine Association, headquartered in St. Charles, Illinois, was awarded the prestigious "2000 Association Award of Excellence" by Limousine & Chauffeured Transportation Magazine, one of the leading publications in the transportation industry.
Criteria for the LCT award included a detailed analysis of 1) recruitment procedures, 2) activity in limousine-related legislature, 3) activity with charitable organizations, 4) member education, and 5) satisfaction of legal requirements.
The Illinois Limousine Association publishes "A Guide to Limousine Licensing" for the city of Chicago and its suburbs. The guide includes licensing requirements, forms, and key contact information for city and state officials and licensing offices.
In conjunction with the award, the ILA was presented with a check for $1,000 to Misericordia Home for Children. The ILA charity fund was established for Carol Whelihan, a founding member and former president of the association. The limousine association annually collects toys, clothing, and donations for Misericordia.
The Illinois Limousine Association works with city and state officials to improve safety conditions at the airports and on the highways, in addition to promoting professional business standards in the limousine industry.
